Summary
Revitalisation of Agricultural Livelihoods Programme (RALP) aims to contribute to a robust and resilient rural economy, to reduce rural poverty and to enhance food security. RALP’s development objective is to create an enabling environment for attracting investments and sustaining food security through restoration of climate resilient economic infrastructure, reestablishing sustainable Agriculture and Livelihoods opportunities and rebuilding the capacities of rural communities and agricultural based institutions.
Components and Objectives
RALP has two main components:
Component 1: Institution Building and Climate-Resilient Infrastructure. It aims to strengthen the capacity of institutions and communities to address their development needs, through institutional capacity building and infrastructure reconstruction and rehabilitation.
Component 2: Improving Agricultural Livelihoods. It aims to support smallholder farmers and internally displaced persons in increasing agricultural productivity, improving livelihood opportunities and access to finance.
