TRIP III will aim to invest in small-scale farmers’ resilience to shocks emanating from climate change, to enable them to manage their natural resources through landscape management, as well as to commercialise their production, through adoption of a value chain approach and market access. Community empowerment, with a special attention to women, indigenous people, and youth will be a key pillar of the project.
TRIP III has four main components:
1. Community Development. Enhance community-based development planning which was initiated and institutionalized under TRIP I and II.
2. Sustainable Rural Livelihoods. Improve food security and rural livelihoods through training, matching grants, and promoting climate-resilient farming and agribusiness development.
3. Project Management and Policy. Ensure effective project coordination and strengthen policy and institutional capacities for sustainable rural development.
4. Disaster Recovery and Rebuilding. Provide support for disaster recovery and rebuilding activities by restoring community assets and livelihoods.
